Marqués de Riscal is one of Spain's most iconic and historic wine estates, founded in 1858 and long regarded as a pioneer of quality winemaking on the Iberian Peninsula. While the estate's Rioja reds are legendary, its Rueda Verdejo has become one of the benchmark expressions of the D.O. Rueda — a wine that has helped define the modern identity of Spain's most celebrated white wine appellation. The wine is made from 100% Verdejo, the indigenous white grape of the Rueda appellation in Castilla y León. Rueda's high-altitude plateau — sitting at over 700 meters above sea level — combined with its continental climate of hot days and cold nights, produces Verdejo of exceptional aromatic intensity, natural freshness, and the distinctive herbal complexity that sets the variety apart. The 2025 vintage continues the estate's outstanding track record, with the wine earning a Mundus Vini Gold and Premios Ecovino Great Gold.

Vinification is carried out at low temperatures to preserve the full aromatic expression of the Verdejo grape, with careful handling from harvest through to bottling ensuring the wine's characteristic freshness and vibrancy are fully captured.

The 2025 opens with an expressive nose of fennel, white flowers, aniseed, and fresh grass, with a lively citrus undercurrent. On the palate, the wine is generous and fresh, with bright acidity, a lively mouthfeel, and a clean, persistent finish. A benchmark Verdejo — aromatic, precise, and endlessly refreshing.
